About Ringo
The Adventures of Ringo the Raccoon is based on the true story of a rescued baby raccoon who became part of our family. What began as an unexpected rescue became a collection of adventures—and along the way, Ringo taught us a few lessons about love, kindness, trust, and letting go.
Ringo came into our lives when my sons, James and Daniel, were still young. After finding him injured in the woods near our home, we cared for him, watched him grow, and soon discovered just how much mischief one little raccoon could get into. From climbing trees and window blinds to tagging along on family adventures, Ringo gave us stories we've never forgotten.
These books share Ringo's real adventures with children through fun stories, Christian lessons, and a little bit of raccoon mischief.
The Family Behind Ringo
The adventures of Ringo began with one tiny, injured baby raccoon—and a family that couldn’t simply leave him behind.
What started as an unexpected rescue soon became part of our family’s story. James and Daniel grew up alongside Ringo’s adventures, while Dad did his best to keep up with all three of them!
The stories in The Adventures of Ringo the Raccoon are inspired by those real moments—the funny ones, the tender ones, and even a few we probably wouldn’t have believed if we hadn’t lived them ourselves.
Ringo was real. The adventures were real. And so was the love that inspired these books.
